You can design your own custom component in Circuit Canvas by simply creating a vector drawing of your component in SVG. But to make it snap into the grid and automatically recognize connection points, there are a few details that you need to pay attention to.

Fritzing has long been popular among teachers and electronics enthusiasts for creating and documenting circuit designs. However, after they placed it behind a paywall and stopped developing it further, many have been searching for a Fritzing alternative.

Drawing schematics is very easy with Circuit Canvas - even easier than drawing with pen and paper. Just drag the components you need into the Schematic canvas, and click on the pins to draw wires between them. I often need a simple circuit with 3-4 components to show an idea. Now I'm able to do this in less than 30 seconds.

When I decided to create Circuit Canvas, I put a lot of thought into developing a tool that truly simplifies drawing electronic circuits. Along the way, I've also explored other tools like TinkerCad, so why didn't I just use that app instead of creating someting from scratch?
