Teaching Electronics with Circuit Canvas
You can use Circuit Canvas to teach electronics. It's easy and quick to draw out a circuit to demonstrate a concept or to have your students build as an experiment.
The app also has many features that will help you as an electronics teacher. Here are some highlights.
Adding Arrows
When learners see a new circuit they've never seen before, they usually need a bit of explanation to understand how it works. With the "Add Arrow " function (Shortcut 'A'), you can easily add arrows to a circuit and complement with text to explain the different parts of the circuit.
Demonstrate How to Build
Sometimes, especially in the beginning, people need more than just the schematic to be able to build the circuit. With the Layout mode, you can show how to connect the circuit in real life, with wires, with breadboard, or with prototyping boards for soldering.
Design, Troubleshoot, and Explain Live
Did you know that if you make your project Public, anyone with your link can open the project and see your changes live! This means you can invite your students to watch from their computer for example how you design a circuit, or how you fix a circuit that has an error in it.
Circuit Submissions and Troubleshooting
Challenge students to design circuits and have them submit their circuit to you in Circuit Canvas. With a click of a button, you can create a clone of their circuit to easily check, make comments, and explain things they might have misunderstood.
Does a student need help with a circuit they've designed? Help students fix their circuits and see what they're struggling with by cloning their circuit, fixing the issues, and leaving comments for them to learn from.
