CD4163
Schematic symbol
Synchronous 4-bit binary counter that counts up from 0 to 15 and can be preloaded with a starting value. Its clear input resets the count on the next clock pulse, and a carry output lets you chain chips for longer counts, which makes it handy for programmable dividers and timing circuits. It works like a CMOS version of the 74LS163.
