Transistor BJT (PNP)
Layout symbol
The mirror image of the NPN: current flowing out of the base (B) lets current flow from emitter (E) to collector (C). As a switch it goes on the positive side, emitter to the supply and load between collector and ground. It turns on when the base is pulled about 0.7 V below the emitter through a resistor, and off when the base is at the emitter's voltage. Learn more about PNP transistors
