Transistor JFET (n-channel)

Schematic symbol

N-channel JFET: a transistor that is on by default, letting current flow from drain to source. Making the gate negative relative to the source reduces the current until it switches off. Mostly used in low-noise amplifiers and analog switches, e.g. the J201.
