CD4055
Schematic symbol
BCD-to-7-segment decoder and driver made for liquid crystal displays (LCDs). It turns a 4-bit BCD number into the segment signals for the digits 0 to 9 (plus a few letters and a dash), and has a display-frequency output that provides the square-wave drive an LCD needs. It has no latch, so the display follows the inputs directly (the CD4056 is the version with a built-in latch).
