PIR Sensor

Motion sensor that detects the infrared heat of people and animals moving in front of it. The common module (e.g. HC-SR501) has three pins: power, ground and a digital output that goes high when motion is detected. Many modules have trimpots for sensitivity and for how long the output stays high, and need up to a minute to settle after power-up.
