1-bit industrial control unit (ICU): a very simple processor that reads one input bit at a time, does a logic operation on it, and writes the result to an output. It runs a program from external memory, usually stepped through by a counter, and was designed to replace relay logic in machine control. Today it's popular for retro computing and for learning how a processor works.
