Schematic symbol
8-channel data selector (multiplexer) that passes one of eight inputs to a single output, chosen by three address inputs. The 3-state output can be disabled so it can share a data bus, and an Inhibit input forces the output low. Common uses are digital multiplexing and reading many switches or signals over one line.
