Schematic symbol
4-bit magnitude comparator: Compares two 4-bit numbers A0–A3 and B0–B3 (A3 and B3 are the most significant bits) and sets one of the outputs AB high. On a single chip, or the lowest stage of a chain, tie IA=B and IA>B high and IAB high; the A>B outputs of the lower chips are left unused. Runs on 3–18 V.
