Transistor JFET (p-channel)

Schematic symbol

P-channel JFET: a transistor that is on by default, letting current flow from source to drain. Making the gate positive relative to the source reduces the current until it switches off. Used in low-noise and analog circuits, and less common than the n-channel type.
