Dot matrix LED display (20mm) visible-pins

Layout symbol

Grid of LEDs (commonly 8×8) wired in rows and columns, where each row shares one side of its LEDs (anode or cathode) and each column shares the other. You show a pattern by quickly lighting one row at a time. Usually driven by a chip like the MAX7219, so a microcontroller needs only a few pins.
