CD4098

Schematic symbol

Dual monostable (one-shot): Each half makes a pulse whose length is set by a capacitor between CX and RX/CX and a resistor from RX/CX to VCC; the CX pins themselves connect to GND. It triggers on a rising edge of +TR while −TR is high, or a falling edge of −TR while +TR is low. To make it non-retriggerable, connect Q̅ to −TR when triggering on +TR, or Q to +TR when triggering on −TR. RST low ends the pulse. Runs on 3–18 V. The CD4538 has the same pinout and more accurate timing.
