CD4017
Layout symbol
Decade counter with 10 outputs: on each clock pulse the next output goes high, one at a time, which makes it popular for running-light and sequencer circuits. Runs on 3–15 V. Tie RESET (pin 15) and CLOCK INHIBIT (pin 13) to ground if unused, or it won't count. Often clocked from a 555 timer. Learn more about the CD4017
