Fan

DC fan for cooling. Small fans usually run on 5 V or 12 V and are switched from a microcontroller with a transistor or MOSFET, with a diode across the fan. 3- and 4-wire fans add a speed (tachometer) signal, and 4-wire fans also have a PWM input for speed control.
