Limit switch, shown from the top: a lever-operated switch that clicks when something presses it, for example to detect when a moving part reaches the end of its travel. It has a common pin (COM) plus NO (connected to COM when pressed) and NC (connected to COM when released); use COM and NO for a simple pushbutton-like switch.
