Schematic symbol
8-bit addressable latch: Writes the data input D into one of eight latches, chosen by the address A0–A2, while LE is low. The other latches keep their values, so you can set eight outputs one at a time from a few pins. MR low clears all outputs while LE is high; with LE low as well, the chip works as a 1-of-8 demultiplexer. Same pinout as the 74LS259.
