Schematic symbol
3-to-8 line decoder: The three address inputs A0–A2 select which one of the eight outputs Y0–Y7 goes low; the others stay high. All three enables must be active (E1 and E2 low, E3 high) or every output stays high. Often used for address decoding or to drive one of eight LEDs or chips. Same pinout as the 74LS138 and 74HCT138.
