Programmable divide-by-N counter: Divides the clock on CP by any whole number from 3 up to 15,999 (up to 9,999 in the ÷5 and ÷10 modes), set with the jam inputs J1–J16 and the mode inputs Ka, Kb and Kc. The output gives one pulse for every N input pulses. Used in frequency synthesizers and programmable timers. Same pinout as the CD4059. Comes in a wide (0.6") 24-pin DIP, though the DIP version is now obsolete.
